That’s not surprisng, giving that they are the company behind Farmville, which is the worlds most popular facebook game. In case you haven’t heard of it, Farmville is the most popular facebook game ever. It is quite surprisingly really. You don’t do any of the usual fun things you do in computer games like blasting aliens. The game revolves around building a successful farm, which includes having cattle, crops and various buildings (sounds fun doesn’t it). But the whole premise of the game is attractive to millions of different people. Currently there are more than eighty million people playing this game. It has got to the point where if you are on facebook, then you have heard of Farmville. The popularity of the game is just crazy. Zynga actually has a whole lot of wildly successful facebook games - Farmville is certainly not the only one. A quick visit to Zynga’s website shows a list of their games, and many (actually most) are doing extremely well. Other than Farmville, Zynga has also made Petville and Fishville, both of which are wildly popular. It does not take a genius to figure out what the premise of each game is. What all three games have in common is that they make you take care of and build something, just like in real life. These games have enourmous followings, with thousands (or millions) of people being addicted to them; but they are actually very simple, and you don’t do anything hugely exciting like in other games.
